intercontinental san juan
I live in the intercontinental area of San Juan, which means I am a resident of the United States. Being from the land of the free, I am constantly aware of my privileges. I am grateful for the benefits the U.S. provides to everyday Americans, but I also feel the responsibility that comes with the privilege. I feel like I am a part of the United States, and I know that I have certain responsibilities as a resident of the land of the free.
San Juan has a very high crime rate. I am fortunate to live in a city where I can keep my head down and do my best to help those in need. However, I have also had to overcome my inner voice that told me to keep my head down and hide from the police. In my current state of mind, I am trying to stay as invisible as I can so I can help those in need (both for their protection and for my own).
The San Juan Police Department has a lot of resources and a lot of manpower. That, of course, makes them the perfect target for gangs and criminals. However, as a tourist and business owner, I have to be careful about my location and my activities. I am not a criminal and am not afraid to be open with my customers and friends about my location and my activities with the police.
If you are visiting the city, you will see a great deal of police presence. When I was in San Juan, I noticed that the police patrol the streets and sidewalks. I noticed cars parked on the street and at the entrance to every restaurant and bar.
This is a great reminder that San Juan is a safe place, and police presence is not a bad thing.
The best thing to do is to avoid police presence, especially as it relates to your property. I had to remove the police presence at my home because I was worried about the police trying to access my property and my home (and my things) while I was away. A friend and I removed the police presence at a house where we had our party. It was a great idea, and I’m glad we did it.
Sometimes it’s not the police that are the problem. It’s the people that aren’t sure if the police are watching or not. The people that don’t think the police are watching. The people who don’t trust their neighbors or friends or family to watch for cops. The people who don’t know if they can trust the police. The people that don’t trust anyone else.
The problem we faced was not that there were no police at the party. The problem was the people who werent there, and the people who werent there. We did not confront the police. We came back and told them what we did. We explained what happened, and we asked if they were watching. It was a good conversation.
At the same time, we’re still not sure how much of a threat the drug cartels are, or whether we can trust the police. We know that we’re not the only ones who use drugs. We know that if we’re going to talk to the police it’s going to be a problem. But a lot of the people I know who are drug addicts, and I know a lot of addicts, they’re not the ones who are afraid of cops.
Now that I think about it, maybe the police are afraid of us too. It’s kind of like, if you’re afraid of us and we’re afraid of you, then you’re probably both wrong. It makes sense to me to be afraid of the police (and I’m one of them), but I don’t think being afraid of the police is a good thing.
